Terms & Conditions

  • Prices – Room rates are based on two sharing, including breakfast and may vary seasonally. Please refer to our website or your online agent for prices. Tourist tax of 50c per adult per night is included in cost.
  • We are not VAT registered so rates do not include VAT.
  • Bookings – All bookings (‘Bookings’) are personal and may not be sold, assigned or otherwise transferred. 
  • Arrival and Departure – arrival between 5pm and 9 pm. Early or late arrival can be arrange by prior agreement. Departure by 11 am. 
  • Cancellations and non-arrivals – No deposit is required.  Confirmation of booking is requested within 7 days of arrival.  The booking cost will be charged via a link to Sumup, any other charges can be paid in cash or by card during your stay. 
  • Amendments – To amend a booking, email the guest house on lancienneboucherie@outlook.com
  • Car Parking – we do not accept responsibility for damage to, or for theft from, or for theft of vehicle parked during your stay.
  • Insurance – guests are recommended to have insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.
  • Children – The property is not suitable for children under the age of 2. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure that the children’s behaviour is appropriate.
  • Disabled/Less mobile guests – we do not have any ground floor rooms and are not suitable for wheelchair users due to the age and nature of the property. As needs do vary, guests are requested to check prior to making a reservation to identify any specific requirements.
  • Dogs – Dogs are not allowed.
  • Behaviour – we reserve the right to judge acceptable levels of noise and behaviour of guests or their representatives, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the guest house. In the event of failure of the guests or their representatives to comply with management requests, the guest house may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.
  • Discrimination – It is the policy of the guest house not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital state, age, ethnic origin or disability. Any guest house employees and all sub-contractors engaged by or on behalf of the guest house are expected to adhere to this policy and the guest house may, without incurring any liability to guests, remove from the guest house any person or persons offending against this policy.
  • Comments and complaints – In the unlikely event that you are disappointed with the guest house, any comment or complaint should be made in writing within 7 days of departure to the guest house management.
  • Statutory Requirements – the guest house is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by guests and their representatives.
  • Liability – Other than for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the guest house, the guest house’s liability to the guest is limited to the price of the booking. The guest house does not accept responsibility for damage to the guests’ possessions or for theft from the room(s) where the guests are residing. Unless the guest house is liable under the above clause, the guest indemnifies the guest house from and against any and all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from the Booking, the guest or any outside contractors of the client. The guest house will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is cause by any factor beyond its reasonable control.
  • Damage – Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment in them by any act or omission, default or neglect of the guests or their representatives and will pay to the guest house on demand the amount require to make good or remedy any such damage and the costs of such recovery.
  • Smoking – The guest house is a non smoking property. If a guest decides to smoke in any room they will be liable to a charge for the cleaning/damage the guest has caused by smoking. A charge equal to one additional nights stay will be charged in all cases.
  • Law – Any issues arising out of these booking conditions shall be deemed to have existence in France and be subject to French law and the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.
